Yes, sometimes I test new SEO methods, but only on small or low risk sites first. I don’t use new tricks on important projects. Testing helps learn, but safety and long term growth always come first.

Well, I'm going to get into the business of Private Blog Networks that are not spammy. I think PBN's in itself is risky and it is considered an "old school" trick. I wouldn't dare deploy "new" tricks that would consider them "spammy", however.

I usually avoid risky tricks. In seo, shortcuts can give quick wins but often lead to penalties, so I stick to methods that are proven and safe. testing new approaches carefully on low stakes projects is fine, but I wouldn’t risk a main site for untested hacks.
