    Hello
On your money site do you publish your contents using posts or pages? What's the difference?
Is it true that internal/external links using pages are not contextual?

I personally use pages because I find it easier to deal with... never heard of them not being contextual tho

I use posts because there are more SEO opportunities with tags and categories.

I'm not sure what you mean by links not being contextual on pages - ?

    Pages are for:
    1. Silos
    2. Broad categories that have sub-topics

    Posts are for:
    1. Sub topics
    2. low competition/traffic keywords

Link from your posts to your most important pages to rank med-hard keywords...

This is how i build my websites! I use pages as parent page and posts as sub-topic. And it always worked.

Most of the users prefer to choose posts for the majority of their site’s content. Posts are like content entries that display your site's content on the basis of publishing timing.

Way of Pages is good. But it contain “Static Content” that is not time-sensible such as the about page, comment policy, privacy policy, Terms, disclaimer and so-on.

If I use only posts and create big article about "best xxx" and various other articles related this one and linked from them all to the "best xxx" its still is silo right? Whats the difference in using pages?

For monetized articles I always use pages and for blog sections and fluff I use posts.

Of course, it can be quite a pain in the ass to make them work together, because for some reason, pages still don't have the functionality of the posts. Howeve this is easily solved with a couple of plugins.

Honestly mate, there's almost none. I just like pages for being cleaner, though the headache with "related posts" plugins is maybe not even worth it.

Also, with posts, always set categories and tags as noindex. Otherwise there will be shittons of mess.

It amazes me that categories and tags -> noindex is not default in yoast (the shit) seo

Well even Yoast official guide says to noindex them immediatelly. Still, they should be noindex as default indeed. At the very least the tags should be. That stuff is good for related posts only anyway.
