For those in seo, orm, etc...do you post prices on your site for your services, and why or why not?
I don't have an SEO site, but I do have a few sites where services are sold. Some sites I do have prices, and some I do not. It depends on the kind of person you're going after. If it's a plastic surgeon, he's got more money than a dog sitter. Make sense?
It's a tough call. On one hand, you don't want to miss out on the big fish, but on the other, you don't want to lose all of the small guppies. I've found if I include a "custom" package with no price that brings in the best of both worlds.
But like I said, every situation is different.
I may have a little sticker on the page saying "starting from $XYZ" but no proper price grid..
Yes I do. I do this so anyone that contacts me already know what I am charging and there is no sticker shock if you will.
W e use both techniques with different websites going after different markets and price points. Fo rhigher end services we do not post price but bid on each job. For quick jobs like x number of different kinds of links, social signals, likes, etc then we have a set price and order button.
