    Patent Purchase Promotion

From May 8, 2015 through May 22, 2015, Google will open a streamlined portal, marketplace called Patent Purchase Promotion for patent holders to sell their patents at a price they set. As soon as the portal closes, Google will review all the submissions, and let the submitters know whether they're interested in buying their patents by June 26, 2015. Google anticipates everyone they transact with getting paid by late August.

I'm pretty sure their reasoning in the article is only half of the truth about why it's a good idea to sell them your patents. Anyways, it looks like a win-win situation, you're getting paid for your patent if chosen, saving yourself from the challenges of the patent business and Google can get a hold of a few kick-ass patents, which they can use later or just simply having it, so others can't.

You're free to submit multiple patents (one at a time), almost every kind of patent is a go, although they aren't interested in design patents and they buy terminally disclaimed patents only under certain circumstances.

The site will go live on May 8, 2015.
