I always turn it off when not in use.
Just put it into sleep mode, much more efficient that way. I dont want to pay unnecessary power bill too.
Hm... I have a laptop, mostly I will switch it off after work done. Save electricity.

No I don't... My desktop is running continuously from 6 months without a problem
always ON unless the power goes out... i know its bad but mines like 5 years old so im just waiting for it to die lol

I've never turned my work machines off.
But the electricity bill just got crazy in my region.
I'm thinking of turning them off now.
I just rebooted my Macbook Air. I looked prior to doing it, the last reboot was 36 days ago.
I actually do turn off my PC at the end of the day. Perhaps 85% of the time. I'm way too used to my tradition of making coffee and dealing with other stuff while waiting for it to power on.
I usually turn it off, I feel like its better for it long term.
The SSD boots up pretty much instantly so I don't have to wait to turn it on in the morning
I used to keep it on 24/7 but then I got a VPS to keep all my botted activity on, and now I can save money on electricity by turning it off at night at bedtime.
i think 27k hrs my pc has been on, is prob 4 outa the 6 yrs ive had it.
but even i shut it down now when not in use. waste of electric

I bought a cheap $70 used laptop sole for the purpose of leaving it on all day and night 24/7. Cheaper than VPS long-term.
Nope usually in sleep, will turn do full shutdown on occasions to clear old processes
I used to just put it to sleep.
Very powerful desktop. But it started to get a bit edgy. So now I turn it off.
Lately though, I haven't been sleeping very well so I just switch off my monitors then if I cannot sleep I will just switch them back on and do some more work.
My laptop goes to sleep when I got to sleep, the others work 24/7
