If I am setting up a new PBN site, how much percentage of total budget should I allocate to getting a good expired domain ?

The price of the expired domain can be from $0.99 I think. The problem is you need time and tools to research the domains before you buy them.

Buying good PBN links is better than creating your own network. Because it would cost too much for the setup.

But only for getting the good expired domain your budget should be $50-$100 per domain in my opinion. It can be low or high depending on how good the domain is and how many domains you wanna get.

Nowadays, maintaining a PBN is very expensive because the VPS price is high, domain renewals are also very expensive, and finding the good expired domain is too difficult. It would be better to locate a good seller for PBNs and purchase the links from them.

Will 0.99 domain be worth doing anything? They are spammed domains that no one wants.

Yes now a days its expensive first you need good expired Domain and different different IP hosting cloudways good in that and Proxy also cost you I am doing this for 5 years till now for me Per PBN cost you 50$

Since the main reason why you're building a PBN is to leverage the preexisting SEO "equity" of an expired domain, yes, you should spend a decent amount to get a quality domain.

When it comes to something this sensitive, the amount of money you spend has a direct relationship to the quality of the domain you end up with.

You have to understand that the best domains for building PBNs are up for auction.

You're not the only person who is interested in those domains.

They also want to build PBNs.

So the fact that many experienced SEO players are bidding up the price of one domain instead of another should tell you everything you need to know about what that domain can do for you.

Of course, nothing is guaranteed.

But if you've done your research and know the quality of the existing SEO metrics like backlinks of that expired domain, you shouldn't hesitate to put up the big bucks.
