I know it's done to stop penalties etc. but does it compromise the linkjuice vs. if you just sent them directly?

I know it's widely regarded as a necessary step but just interested to know if it you lose linkjuice by adding extra links to the chain.

if you know its necessary then why do you care? your answer is yes you lose some juice but you gain credibility and trust from the buffer (kinda)

Think of it like a tree with your site as the trunk. The more branches it has the bigger the trunk.
