I always have some sort of sound in the background if it's not music, it's a show I've seen a hundred times that I don't have to pay attention to. Last month it was all 3 seasons of Star Trek: The Original Series... this month I've been watching a lot of The Mighty Boosh. I can't stand working in silence when I'm doing repetitive drudgery like using Photoshop, building links, opening accounts and article spinning.

On the other hand, when I'm writing copy or creating fresh content, I need silence to concentrate... or at least something that doesn't have words to follow, like instrumental music or classical music. Words and conversation in the background are distracting.

I like all kinds of stuff . . . Old rock, new rock, pop, electronica, techno, punk, rap, etc. You name it. But when I am doing stuff involved with internet marketing, or if I am doing graphic design work, I like smooth jazz or easy listening instrumental music. It's non-intrusive and less distracting.

Never have any music or television on, I just sit in the balcony with my laptop and listen to the waves and watch the sexy tourist girlies in their skimpy bikinis or topless on the beach! Its hard to get any work done now that summer is on the way!

it depends on my mood, sometimes i simply forget to start winamp and i notice the big fuckin silence on the late afternoon lol
i'm living in the historical old town of my city, so it could be very silent & peaceful without me pumping up the volume :D
2 genre of music exists for me: good music and bad music
so when i listen music, i listen all kind (means: from dimmu borgir through britney spears to classical music) but mostly rap & minimal/house

and let me send this electronical masterpiece to the States, why? because you may beat the rest of the world in many many things, but you dunno shit about electronical music and no thanks, i don't want country music in return :p

just listen, this is plain ear sex:

wait, where do yo live? i'm in a moving mood now :)

I throw a new mix on Lala.com every hour and a half when the old mix runs out... So i get to hear tons of styles of music. I have to have music playing when im working. Idk what I'm gonna do when Lala is shut down at the end of this month though... Maybe i'll move to pandora, but forget pandora... Apple better do something! buy lala and shut it down? What are people like me gonna do?!
