Do you know how to promote on Reddit?

I've educated myself on Reddit, I've read the forum, bought some books and watched some courses. However, there really isn't much out there about Reddit (specially when it comes to promoting).

I started crossposting but there aren't a lot of subreddits and the ones that are in my niche don't allow it, actually, most subreddits don't allow crossposting or promotion as a whole.

What would you recommend? I got banned from one of the subreddits and I don't know what to do...

The best way to promote on Reddit is to participate and be somewhat knowledgeable in the sub-Reddits you will be active in.

Otherwise, you're rolling the dice when you share stuff.

It's anybody's guess if the link will stay up or if your account stays active.

As you probably already know, Reddit users are very sensitive when it comes to any self-promotion.

If I were you, I would participate by offering information and advice and being part of the community.

You can start with a long list of sub-Reddits related to your niche, then invest one to two months building up karma, helping people out, that kind of thing.

Once it's time for you to share your own content, make sure you share pages that have very few ads.

When you do that, you mix it in with high-quality third-party content that you share.

People aren't even going to notice if you play your cards right.

They'll give you a pass.

But if you drop a link every other post, then it's going to be a rough road ahead for you.

This thread made me look into my account. I followed the steps long back but lost patience in wait. The main reason that I remember is Reddit doesn't provide the soothing human touch in replying and commenting. It's a long wait. Say for example here in BHW or any Facebook group: There might be rules but every forum/group has people to interact with quickly which keeps the mind rolling.

You are absolutely right around the point but do you have some quick trick around this method? It would be helpful for me as well. :D

I understand.

Many Redditors can be downright mean.

It's not exactly a 'newbie friendly' environment.

But a little bit of consistent and, TBH, THICK SKIN, can go a long way.

Keep at it.

Build value.

Be patient. And...

WIN!

I reached out to the mods but never received an answer… there aren’t too many subreddits on my niche, I tried searching.
