Every single site I've seen has something that says like:

[checkbox] Yes! I am ready to make $1,000,000 overnight!

    or

[checkbox] Send me my (product) and (free bonuses)!

    or something like that.

Is that a requirement with CB and other online vendors? Is it the equivalent of the buyer giving consent or something? Or do people just do it to get active involvement from the potential buyer?

    I normally have

[checkbox] Are you a complete idiot with money to spend?

But haven't used it lately. :)

    Hiya,

I've got some audio from seminars about this, it's part of getting the potential buyer to 'buy-in' and commit to the sale by being more involved in the sales process, a mind thing really.

Try it - find a squeeze page and try hitting the 'buy now' button with the checkbox both checked and unchecked, most of the time it's totally ignored.

The audio is pretty good, loads of it, I'll find the links and drop it on here.
Even tho it's via an aff link, it's a free download, just add your email onto their mailing list and download away.

^ that was gonna be my second question... is the checkbox actually linked to anything. lol.

It'd be funny if someone bought it but didn't check the "send me my free bonuses that are really just rehashed material that I can get for free elsewhere on the web," and then they actually didn't receive them. lol
