I know CPA networks require you to be 18, but i'm working directly with the advertiser on this one. I already own a number of sites and i know tons of underage people here do too, but once I start raking in serious dosh (like 5 figures) could I get in trouble for being under 18 and owning the sites?

I'd worry about making 5 figures long before I worried about being too young to do anything if I were you.

Nope. I was pulling in 4 figure monthly returns before 18 no problem. You don't need to be any age in particular to own a domain. Hosting companies may have their own set of rules but I don't think they would discourage young people from using them.

Just check the Terms of Service on the website that you're buying the domain on and make sure you're old enough. I can't see why age would ever be a problem, as long as you're over 13, which most site require.

You are right to be concerned, some networks may not pay if the recipient is under 18, because in the US people under 18 cannot enter into a legal contract. If they find out, they MAY withhold funds.

I have not heard of anyone who has had this problem, but it could crop up with a shady network if they want to get crappy.
