Do you have or wish to have a swimming pool at your home ?

It's pretty damn expensive to keep clean. I'd rather go to the public pool

I wish to have but need to work hard to afford such a house. What is your situation ?
Well my house I own has a lot of land kind of the size of like mini to medium farm size so I was planning in the future to get Jaccuzzis put inside one of my summerhouse I am building at the moment.

I find swimming super boring as well for me most boring sport in the world .

It took me weeks to find the right balance and now I use a product once a week and the pool is clear.
The cost? 8$ /week during the season of course

Explain it a little for us.

ok.
3 years ago my wife convinced me to build a pool. Calling a professional was very expensive. I decided to look for pools to do myself since I am a good handyman.
I found a good kit and what I like most is the filtration system which is very powerful. The pump makes 60m3/hour. Since the volume of water is 32m3, it means that the water is filtered 2 times per hour if the pump is running of course...
The basic products did not work well. Chlorine, anti algae, anti flocculant etc. all this put together is expensive and in the end your water contains more product than water!
While searching the net, I found a miracle product (for me) called 4 action bromine. it does everything your water needs. and the water is at 32°.
Once a week, I put 32 pebbles in the skimmer because I have 32 m3 of water. and when the pump starts, it takes a little product and balances. The water is perfect!
I'll tell you something, even this winter, we put the same brand for winterization. 250ml of product and the pool stayed clear all winter. At the beginning of the season, we put the pump back on and the rollers and after 24 hours we could swim...
The bucket cost me 65E for 8 weeks.
That's it!

I can't say, i did. I'm not too fond of summer, i'm more like the winter type. I'd rather have a mountain with icecap in my backyard than a pool. :)

I have a 10x6 m pool here.

My other house in Spain also has a private pool.

Same I live on a sort of mini mountain so I go snowboarding when it snows sometimes

I had one, got rid of it
then a few years later, I completely regretted it.
Now I'm still in the amidst building another place.
Been completely on and off on if I should get one or not. (Probably won't, I can also see my dumbass dogs jumping the fence or squeezing through or finding a way to make life a bitch)
Maintenance is a bitch, I remember that, from cleaning to water checks and everything, it's just expenses really.

You mean people clean their own pools?

An hour week, and we have a guy comes to do our pools.
Walk round with a skim net just before you get in.

Not that expensive and well worth it when it's as hot as it gets here in summer for sure.
