Do you have a monetised youtube channel ?

Had 3 channels banned last year. Haven't looked back ever since.
dont need to go in details but can you give some advise that they dont ban your channel. planning to do ads and buy backlinks to help my channel grow, wonder would it hurt the channel.

If you are looking to go legit and brand channel, think about content not backlinks and ads. Ads usually do not give you much retention.
Just think about content, learn basics of Youtube optimization. Install VidIq, use tubics.

But, the main thing that matters is content. Watch your own content as if it's someone else's and judge if you would watch it again or is it informational enough?

Also, the major issue will be copyright if you are making compiled information or videos. So, read about Creative common licence and exclusive rights.

going gamer route, the reason why i am planning somethink like facebook and twitters ads is, youtube now a days is very hard to get in like 2010, youtube have changed the algorithm to benefit bigger channels. will looking in those two vidlq and tubics

Bigger brands have obviously have better content and user base is high. I am not against getting ads but first priority should be unique content and relevant information. I know this sounds generic but as you start progressing, you will understand what's meant by content.
Also, from my experience, subscribers doesn't mean much. What you need is better retention? There is no specific standard for retention you need as it depends upon the average time of your competitors videos too.

Best of Luck

Many people are making money with YouTube. Are you also one of them ? What is the story behind your YouTube channel ?
I do have a channel OP. But not yet monetized, subs are close to 500 now which was started in May'21.

As mentioned by @scriptaty100 channel should have QUALITY content and we need to have a lot of patience. I do own few blogs as well. My experience with video content is, it is too hard to deliver the quality when compared to the blog posts. But somehow managing it now. Let's see.
PS: Be careful to follow Content violation guidelines by YT. Because unlike blogs, YT algo detects any kind violation super-quick.

All the best for your journey.

Yes, YouTube can take time.

Yes mate. If you are able to manage initial period of 1-2 years on QUALITY content, then you need not look back on your YT journey. It will give good returns for sure. And don't depend alone on YT monetization. You should have another source also by using traffic from YT.

PS: Let YT grow organically (My suggestion) :)

I bought one from a site. It's been ok. Not really working on it lately, but making about $1-5/day intermittently.
