Just curious if you SB users go out of your way to look for .edu domains? I just usually look for regular high pr domains and don't really do the .edu thing. I'm thinkin I might start mixing it up though.

Also when you guys scrape for .edu, are you manually submitting your link to these sites?

    Thanks.

I know in the past .edu links seemed to carry more weight. Not sure if it's still the same because G changes things so frequently. Might want to test it and see what happens and get back to us.

I've always heard that .EDU is important. But I see a lot of people selling .EDU. I mean how can we truly know if the .EDU worth well? Is it the domains name age that count the weight?

By the way, might be a bit out of topic. but how do I force google to index my site or something?

Social Bookmark your site or mass submit an article to article directories with a link pointing back to your site.

.edu links are more difficult to get, compared to a regular blog link. So it will always (and in the future) hold a greater value.

And most .edu site have a good age and high PR for the main domain.

Yes, EDU links are more important, but a lot has to do with the PR of the site & page as well.
