Do you charge friends/family for selling and shipping items on ebay for them?

I have been selling and shipping on ebay for friends and family for the past few months. At first I didn't mind, but now it is getting a bit frustrating. The listing doesn't take much time, but packing and shipping is a pain in the ass. UPS picks up from my office, so at least I don't have to drop off the packages. I have started telling them that it is a waste of time if the item will go for less than $20. Most of them are offering to give me a percentage for selling their stuff now.

Any idea on a fair percentage for friends and family? I am starting to get to the point where my brothers friends are giving me me shit to sell, so I need to start charging them something and they don't mind paying me for doing it.

I would probably do this for around 20-30%...

You are doing all the work so I think that's fair... If they think that's too high than I would let them do it themselves. But they are probably asking you because they don't know how...

Psh I did it for friends and I took 50%. I have 100 item selling limit and frankly it wasn't worth selling their shit when I was only getting 50% because I made more money dropshipping 100 items a month. Family I'd do it for free, but they'd probably hand me some money because I did it for them. So family 30% if they want you to put a price on it. If it sells under $20, 30% is probably still only what...5 bucks? Less than minimum wage, ehhh not really worth it!

Honestly it is not a good idea to get mixed up in doing favors ect for friends and family.
Normally it leads to hurt feelings.

Thank you for the advice. After thinking about how much time in my day this is wasting, it doesn't really make sense to do it for less than 50%, even if it is friends and family. It is pretty clear why all those sell your stuff of eBay stores closed so quickly.

I try to encourage people to open their own eBay account to unload all their old shit for some quick cash, but I always hear complaints about how complicated they think it will be.
