If you use the search bar you'll find a lot of other threads discussing this same topic and giving detailed instructions on what should be done to set it up in bothe webmaster tools and the right way to set up a redirdct on your own site.

Personally I do all my promotion without the www. I do it that way because to me it seems more professional. The www was just a marketing idea to promote the internet as the world wide web back in the early 90s. It's nothing more that a redundant subdirectory. Since the world is pretty used the the internet now:rolleyes:, I personally think the non-www url looks better. Plus if your ever limited on characters when your posting it somewhere you just saved 4 spaces by not using it.

I guess it depends what your site is. With or without www. I wouldn't put the whole http:// thing as it looks geeky. You want non techies to remember your domain name easily. rememberthisdomain.com

It depends on your domain. For instance nearly everyone knows .com .net .org .gov .info and .edu. Others such as .me .us .eu are less common, so you may want to include the www with them. This is especially important if you do offline marketing.

The HTTP one is better, i use it for all my websites and blogs.. it's short and non-confusing (to me, atleast)
