Do you appreciate the state of the lounge now?

Some members here like @MisterF , said recently that BHW has become a playground for children.

I saw personnally some members shitposting and making threads which seem to make no sense at all.

But at the end, all these very active members like @RoiBox And @Yes and @xReminisce, @paydette .. even if they shitpost a lot and creature useless threads, we can't stop loving them because they bring a great mood to the lounge.

I would like to congratulate all of them for their contribution, the forum is taking a right direction. Most members pm me and ask me why there is still no fish subforum, don't worry guys, it is in process.

Cannot, advertiser is the boss of position, customer gets what he wants.

I can respect that. I assumed it was accidental. Seems he doesn't want it confused with the middle adverts. Good call, really.

(my OCD: still center it though).

Many aren't there anymore because, at some point, they feel like the forum is a real playground just because they have XXXX number of likes.
They end up being well, spammy, disrespectful full of themselves or playing with the staff member like kids. Ignoring that, this forum is a company, after all.

Shitposting is good, but not all the time. Newbie here takes Jr VIP very seriously; few give good advice and shitpost until they can sell their service with the engagement * legitimacy* from their profile. They end up banned.

I can easily say by looking at people's interaction here (in the lounge) who will not be here in a few months, and I always spot on.

How long do you think I will stay here? Will I be banned?

Reported for thread hijacking. @proxygo Stated that you can't deviate from the original thread according to TOS.

You and @RoiBox are killing my thread. Please keep it on topic and don't spam.

Technically, I am. @RoiBox is tagged in your OP. My comment is about his signature space which means I'm inside of a sub-topic of the main.  :D

When you're on BHW for a while, it can be difficult not to view how things used to be through rose-tinted lenses. For instance, I always remember 2015 as "The Golden Age of BHW": there were tons of guides being shared, competitions for the members, @pewep's magical lounge threads were top-notch, and some of my favourite members were big contributors back then.

But 2015 wasn't all that perfect. In fact, I nearly quit the forum around that time. Members were quite aggressive back then, I saw way more sexism from members, sellers were spreading misinformation about backlinks in order to get more sales, previously banned members were so abundant that they weren't even trying to hide it (I used to find 30 a day just by searching their Skype ID), and the "internet thugs" I dealt with back then were laughable.

Of course, I'm not saying everything is perfect now, but I like the direction the forum is heading in overall. The lounge has been extra silly lately, however, I bear in mind that the lounge goes through various phases of silliness, and I personally don't have an issue with the way it currently is. Some of threads you guys make here make me laugh, and they're leagues better than the suicidal rants, Covid arguments, or the "I broke up with my partner" threads we were getting in bulk a few years ago.

Remember, a community doesn't need to be serious all the time.

Does shitposting in a shitpost really have to be topical, is not shitposting in it self a related topic of this shitpost.

I appreciate the long and detailed answer you gave.

As much as I admit my abundant implication in the lounge lately and can piss off some people off, I know a lot of members here are a VERY good public and like to laugh a lot. It's pleasant to see a community which has some serious business but also very unserious sections like the lounge.
