    PROS of Comments:

    1) Possibly add new, unique, fresh and hopefully keyword-relevant content to your blog

    2) Makes your blog post look popular and relevant if there are lots of comments

    3) Makes it seem like the blog is updated with new content more often

    CONS of Comments:

    1) Often dilute your blog page content with non-relevant, non-keyword-related content, hurting your on-page SEO

    2) Link spamming is a problem which takes time to manage and keep under control

So as you can see there are both pros and cons to having comments enabled on your blog. Overall, what do YOU think is better for blog SEO?

Well, um WordPress allows you to change the comment, so you can remove the website. :)

It depends. If its one of my real blogs where I check it and post manually on a regular basis then yes. If its an auto blog then no - otherwise you'll just fill your database.

Absolutely but I monitor them closely, I don't like spam and neither do my users.

Comments are MORE content for me, and give a reason for readers to come back and back to my site. More readership usually means more money in my pocket.

I also typically install many of the popular spam plugins to help filter that crap out so that I don't have to.

All comments to my blogs have to be approved.

They can also be edited by me.

I also use a guest article post plug in that allows people to post full articles that also must be pre approved by me.

The approval process cuts the spam and non relating posts comments etc.

well, comments are good as an important/free content from visitors, and you have to avoid the auto publish option, you need to check comments before publishing them (keywords+links) and publish what helps your site .. and you'll save it like that too ;)
