    Hey guys!

I'm sort of new on these forums (been lurking for about 2 years).

I really hope to motivate and inspirate myself and you guys with this thread to make alot of money. Besides that the reason to create this thread is to clarify everything for myself (you'll get to read what I'm talking about later on in this post).

Currently I'm trying to finish my studies in Business IT Management. I have never felt like working for an employer and I've actually always wanted to work for myself and maybe even get people to work for me. Even though I've never had any idea what I wanted to start a business in, I always felt like something would eventually come my way and I would start my business founded on these ideas that came to me.

I'm convinced of the fact that everybody has at least 1 talent that he or she can exploit to earn money with or even make that talent his or her job. Also I firmly believe in the fact that everybody can reach his dreams if they REALLY believe in themselves and REALLY persist in what they do to realize their their dreams.

As the title of this thread says, I believe the key to succes is:

Do what others don't to achieve what others won't

And so far this has been working out for me quite well!

    My goals

So many people on this planet live like robots... They get out of bed at 7 am, leave for work at 7.30, get in the daily traffic jam to work, finally arrive at 8.30 and start working untill 5 pm to go home. When they get home they eat, poop, sleep and repeat everything they did the previous day. And I'm trying to avoid living a mediocre life like that. I've always tried to do that, and I feel now is the time to finally concretize this.

About 4 years ago at the age of 20 I was this tall (6"6), skinny, really shy, unconsciously incompentent guy who never really had a job he loved, never had a girlfriend and didn't know what to do with his life.

Since then I have really changed my life. I got into lifestyle development which really motivated me and inspired me to change my life. I decided what my life goals would be and what I had to change to reach thesegoals. These were:

    1. Get muscle
    2. Get confident
    3. Get girls
    4. Get money

I feel like I have reached the first 3 of these 4 goals. I'm pretty buffed now (if I say so myself haha), confident about myself in every way and I've gotten quite good with girls these last 4 years. I've got a girlfriend now that I really like and started to feel like I did next to nothing to reach my 4th goal: get money. And that's what I'm here for.

And so I recently decided to get money. But how?

Right now I have so many ideas to start businesses and/or websites in, I don't really know where to start. These ideas involve:

    • Webshops (2 ideas)
    • Blogs (1 idea)
    • Consultancy businesses (1 idea)
    • Software development business for larger companies (2 ideas)
    • eBook/training/course website (1 idea)

and a few other ideas that I have that i think would do well and sell in this current economy.

I really have to think about where to start before I recklessly dive into this. On the other hand I feel like I just have to start working on one of these projects and see what happens.

    Stay inspired and motivated!

Recently I've been listening to and watching a lot of audio and video courses by Jim Rohn, Brian Tracy, Daniel Pena, Jordan Belfort and Frank Kern. These courses really motivated to do something in my life with the business ideas I came up with. If you have anything similar in which you found alot of motivation or inspiration I'd love to hear about it!

Anyways, right now my primary focus is on finishing my studies as soon as possible and laying the foundation for making money on my own for the rest of my life. So that's what I'm going to do in the following weeks. I'll write down every epiphany, action, thought and decision i make to reach my money goal in this thread.

Thanks for reading. I know this post got a little long, sorry for that. I would like to write so much more about my thoughts and everything haha

Cheers, take care and good luck to you too on your journey. PERSIST, BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND DO THINGS OTHER PEOPLE WONT TO REACH YOUR GOALS!

Best of fortune, it looks like you have a plan. Stick to it, better yourself every day. Do not overextend yourself in the beginning with too many side-projects and ideas, get to work. Just like exercising, the best way is to just do it. Don't feel excited or energized? No one does all the time, but that doesn't mean you can take the day off. It's about survival, whether or not your survival is actually at stake, because working and improving yourself is about respecting your ability to survive and thrive, and when you do, you feel alive.

Remember that this is work. Everything that's worth value comes through work, even a great party.

When things get tough, you're on the right path. When you're exhausted, but keep moving forward, you're on the right path.

Its good to do what others don't and achieve what they won't, but when you eventually get there, you will realize how many others have already been there.

Wishing you good luck and I hope you set an example for the majority of people who never get the courage to get started.

I wish someone would tell me what people aren't doing so I can go do it and make some money. I've been trying to answer that question for years.

    Best of luck to you!

All the best mate. Good you are following your 4 goals one at a time, some are trying to hit all 4 at once and never get there. I'd start from 4th in reverse order anyway :)

Yep, low entry-barrier money-making methods attract millions of idiots from internet marketing forums, ruining the method. If there's a thread about a method in the Making Money forum, you can be pretty sure it doesn't work. Good luck!

Thanks alot for the support guys!

I agree completely with the things you said LakeForest! Well said :)

Yes! I believe every single person that had any form of succes in whatever they did, did the things that people living mediocre lives did not do what others won't.

Thanks man! It's not about the things you do or sell or whatever. Ofcourse it is a little, but I believe you can succeed in almost anything you sell, do or whatever. It's just that 99.5% of people give up on their journey relatively quickly. This other 0.5% of people persist and eventually succeed. Even if it takes much effort and/or time. Most people don't realize that you have to fail to eventually succeed. Just like the richest people on this planet did (Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Richard Branson etc. etc.).

Anyways, I'll update my thoughts on my journey tonight or tomorrow. Take care guys!

Okay guys, I have figured a few things out for myself! My plan is as following.

    This week i will:

    Set up a blog

I'm setting up a nice looking website for my dutch blog which will be about lifestyle for men. We don't really have anything like this in dutch yet so im quite excited about this! The blog will be about my insights on dating, fitness, dieting, business and alot more. I'll only write about stuff that I'm interested in to keep myself motivated to write a minimal of 1 article a day. I will also do alot of white hat SEO for this since I don't really like the blackhat SEO stuff for generating a long-term income(sorry guys haha).

    Set up a webshop

I feel setting up a webshop is the best way to increase revenue fast. Especially since I've found a product that i really believe in that isn't really sold in the Netherlands (yes, it will be a webshop with just 1 product in different colors and sizes). It's a really cheap (about 1,40 dollar each) product to import and can be sold for about 10 to 15 times the cost. My plan is to apply some offline marketing methods like flyering, infiltrate some forums to notify people of my product, set up a nice AdWords campaign and maybe even persuade some local stores to sell my product.

    And after that?

After I have set up the blog, I'll write a minimum of 1 article a day for this blog. I'll continue the marketing for my 1st webshop.

After that I will set up the 2nd webshop. The product I'm going to sell with this shop will be completely different and alot more expensive to import. So I'll need quite a bit of money to set myself up this webshop. Just like the 1st webshop I have quite a steady marketingplan which I'm sure will work out and generate me money. This second webshop is the plan I'm most excited about but brings the biggest risk of failing and losing money! But even if that happens I'll still have my other webshop with (i hope) a stable income to make up for the losses of this webshop.

Ofcourse I really want those 3 plans of mine to work out and give me a steady source of income and work. So I'll really have to persist like I have said in the previous posts and I'm sure these will eventually succeed so I can move on to the next plan of mine. I decided to execute this plan quite structured so I wont do everything at the same time which always takes away my motivation and gets me exhausted.

After that I want to write an eBook in dutch to teach people a certain skill. It will be quite a large eBook with quite some valuable information which a lot of business people can benefit from. So the value of the product I'm going to create should be quite high and I hope it will sell alot.

After that comes the consultancy business and the construction and sales of a certain piece of software I came up with a few months ago. I will start these projects after I've finished and succeeded (or failed) in the previous projects.

Okay guys, so these will be my first steps of getting money. I have to take this all relatively slow because I'm still busy finishing my studies so for the time beiing these will all be side projects of mine.

By the way, I'm a really big fan of Wordpress so naturally I'll set up the blog with this CMS and even create a webshop with it using WooCommerce.

Take care and good luck to you all!
