Do websites still reject valid new TLDs?

ICANN put out new Universal Acceptance guidelines this week and it reminded me of this old problem.

Years ago, some websites would reject longer extensions like .photography just because they expected short TLDs like .com.

I actually haven't run into this myself lately. Does anyone here still see it happen?

what i can say about this is thst some websites still reject newer TLDs, but it’s usually more about how their systems are configured than the TLD itself.

Long and unfamiliar TLDs are surely rejected. The criteria is that, it should be short, memorable and easy to identify
