Do websites rank faster if our desired kws are in the root domain instead of subdirectory?

    Let's say I wanna rank for the "super cool gadget" keywords.

    Will it rank faster with supercoolgadget.com or genericdomain.com/supercoolgadget?

    Or too many factors?

    Yes of course, so why the keyword domain names are getting popular and you can see many keyword domains ranked in the top positions.

    Note: Google says that keywords in domain name is not an option to improve its SEO.

    Yes. Haven't you noticed that many websites that use their targeted keywords as root domain would rank faster than those that are not. Moreover, you can observe the same trend on many websites appearing on the first two pages of google search engine results.
