    Hi,

I am planning to purchase scrapebox so that I can scrape forum URL's which I can use to make profile links.

Do I need private proxies to scrape URL's from Google, Bing etc? Or will Free proxies do?

I want to collect something like 1000-2000 profile links in one go.

    Thanks

Free proxies will basically do for this cause. Better yet its advised as it will burn up your bought private ones...

What do you mean with profile links? Assuming you don't have a mod or something you can only post blogcomments with your name as live anchor link.

I have profile creation software which will create forum profiles (eg. is this link) on the scrape URL's I input into it.

so what good is private proxies for? I saw the cost of 10 private proxies at around 30$. So when should I consider spending that money?

    Thanks

the free proxies are fine for harvesting checking pagerank rss submit all that.

You need good private proxies to do comment posting. The easiest place to get good working proxies is from yourprivateproxy as scrapebox and most users recommend or check out the user on here cyberzilla he has another provider thats working for him.

Also I was looking into proxyfire(dot)net to use the proxy hunter software they sell to get the private proxies. An offline friend who turned me onto blackhat uses that.

To answer your question again though the public ones are good for finding the blogs but you need the private ones to post if you want approval rates 70%+

If you have a dynamic IP address you can do comment posting without proxies. Just restart your ADSL router from time to time to renew IP. Private proxies could help you avoid the Akismet blacklist for awhile. And maybe staying anonymous?

True, but your domain will get banned by Akismet either way so who cares :D

Yes. If all you need is scraping forum URLs, I'm sure there are some free Google scrapers too.

Never. Public work fine for scraping and posting.

Not true. Public work fine. Harvest a bunch, keep passing through the tests to get the solid ones, post away.

Nope. Public work fine. Been using them for thousands of verified posts. Try without yourself. You'll find no need to buy them.

Public proxies are slow and isn't efficient like the private proxies, but it gets the job done.

I never had any issues using scrapebox with the harvested proxies. I have quite a few sites that are indexed very high.

Well.... Can they? I'm a believer of hiding my footprints as best I can but only because I started soe that way. It's too much work now that I have many sites to focus on, I'm about to just get spamming on my mini nets and not give a damn anymore. Too much work.

That's what the filter option in SB proxy harvester is for. Dump the slow ones. Problem solved.
