I was looking at some guy on heres landing page, now despite the software (which is fine).. landing pages like this have always made me think they were scams, for example the vitamins + fitness + ebooks ... they all use a similar layout and style to this page. If anything they put me off buying, it removes credibility for myself, makes me less trusting of the quality or legit nature of the site. But you guys can tell me, do they work?

The site in question - http://pinpioneer.com/

I'm on the same track as you, I HATE landing pages that are using multiple strong colors, and like blinking red big text that says "free" or "WORKING GUARANTEED!!1!!1" (jk) with capital letters. All of those screams scam to me.

Your landing page is okay, but maybe a little boring. A style that I would suggest you use is somewhat minimalist with some colors, but not very bright, and only a few. So there's like a "theme color" of the site.

The red text that you're using at the top is a thing that I've seen on almost all clickbank products etc, on almost all salespages. If I were you, I would start by having a header with a logo for the software for branding. Then I would put an image of the software at the top, so you can see what you're buying. Also, the price is pretty important. I would put it like in the corner of the image of the software, so that you can see it pretty fast. Also a call to action button that says like "Buy Now" or something more creative.

I would also skip the "Add to cart" buttons. I'm like "What cart?" ^^

Please note that I'm no professional, but I know what I like and what appeals to me. :)

    Cheers

Nice to see someone else can see where I'm coming from. Trying to think of how to fashion my own. But yea, that page is actually a different user on BHW so send your advise over to him, I pretty much agree, for such decent software, I'm baffled at the use of such a landing page.

The sales copy is horrible for that product, looks like they tried the "WF" approach and failed. First, any good sales copy that has to much bold, highlighted, colored text makes a reader lose emphasis. The other fact is the copy is boring and exhaustive in most cases. I was not hooked to even read past the first WINDED sentence. As for colors and copy, you want your facts bold, your benefits listed, and your testimonials integrated in perfect balance with your benefits and facts.
