Do we have a lot of guilt ridden members or something? I post a vague post on my blog about people being fake and how we need to always question their motives when it comes to helping us. I thought I was as vague as I could be about the situation because I just wanted to get the main point across that just because you talk to somebody online you don't really know them.

So far I've gotten 9 different people contacting me saying "how dare you call me slime" or "I didn't scam anyone I swear please remove this post" I understand why the person I was talking about contacted me but what about the other 8. Sometimes BHW members really crack me up.

I don't think it is just BHW members who are guilt ridden. Do you know anybody that when they pass a cop act like their wanted serial killers? My mom is the worst I have ever seen. She seriously acts like she is on the most wanted list when a cop drives by her. IDK what her problem is and have asked her numerous times. She claims they make her nervous.

Maybe your post made some members nervous about their actions. lol

I am not perfect by no means, but I try not to do anything that would cause me to have a guilt ridden conscious. I stopped promoting things like acai, because I researched the negative option billing methods being used. I just did not feel right promoting these type of products anymore. That being said, I do not pass judgment against those that do something I choose not to do.

People here are really sensitive. It's the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

This is a BLACKHAT community, and people complain here for being blackhat.

Yeah I must admit JustThinking, when it comes to the police nearly everyone I know (me included) look over at them nervously, like I have a kilo of cocaine down there/my pants.

Hmmm..maybe someone should start selling a product on BST - "how to handle guilt and sleep peacefully ". I can imagine it would sell extremely well here. :D

I would say I dont feel guilty very often. I as blackhataffiliate have dropped promoting stuff like acai etc. I think that if economy was better I would maybe not feel like it , but now when there are people loosing jobs and houses left and right I dont want to be one of the cause why they are loosing even more money. There are plenty of ways to make money online and add genuine value to customer.

But maybe feeling guilty is natrual to us. Like often when walking out of a shop, something in my is bit scared about the alarm going on even though i know , I have not stolen anything.

Zigzag, do you suffer from an inferiority complex? :) We don't all need to be G's or Gangstas or whatever the street slang is, to make it in this world.

See theres a great example above, theres one guy whos afraid of spiders... spiders.... jesus who'd have thought.

If people are stupid enough to buy it I'll keep promoting it. Right after I got heard the whole acai thing on the news and scams galore I built a landing page to promote acai offers. People need to learn how to read when you see that little * automatically assume bullshit other wise they would not have to put it there (most of the time).

I also use www.MyWot.com (toolbar) , Alexa plugin, and compete.com plugin.

Step 1: What does MyWot say. If bad = get the FCK out of there... Checking the comments (if any) to see why they have that rating.
Step 2: What does compete say about trust and traffic??? Do they have as much as they claim.
Step 3: Look at alexa rank. Does it support the data from compete (scores usually differ as compete is US only but, you can get a good handle on things).
Step 4: Google the company name, url, etc. Any negative things show up???
Step 5: Attempt to call/email are the phone numbers legit? do they reply to email? Are they and INC/LLC/LTD or similar business if so look them up in the state registry that is publicly available to verify they are in fact a legit business and not just posting that.
Step 6: Do their Verisign or other trust logos work when you click? Have the right date? Actually are for that company? ... Yes many websites just link to someone else's website.

Using those 6 steps I avoid getting tripped up in scams (of course using my F'N brain helps the most).

somehow i believe that it truly comes down to a person's personality.
a friend of mine played pro paintball for a while (does IM now, he's seen the light)
when i first started to help him out and guide him through it.
all he wanted to do was scam people.
start partnerships and not pay the other guy's share, take someone else's cash.
his urges for this started because he himself was scammed on CL when he tried to buy a paintball gun off some guy that never payed him back. he lost $800 as a 14 year old and was pissed as shit.
    he said,

"the idea of pulling off the scam would have satisfied me more than a year's worth of income from the guy i was working with"

well, needless to say i beat the shit out of him and told him to wise up.
    he's never actually scammed anyone.

but its weird that he gets satisfaction from the idea of pulling something off like this

I would say most of us do enjoy scamming people to some degree....

Have you seen the threads on scamming CPA networks???

    Forcing installs onto people's computers???

    Blanking Reffer?

Fake myspace, facebook, twitter................ Pages with hot girls to amass thousands of followers just so we can spam the $hit out of them.

Bogus Landing Pages full of crap???

    Craigslist emails?

I mean that's mainly what the marketing industry is as much as you try to hide from it. If everyone made quality products there would be no need or very little need to promote one's product... It's all about convincing people you have the latest and greatest thing and that they actually need it?

Out of the 30,000+ people here on BHW how many of us have bought or read some ebooks at sometime.... How many of us have ever become the next internet millionair as promissed? Or had those $250,000 in 24 hour days they always talk about???

    1 maybe 2 if that.

In summary... Marketing is almost always a scam. Fueled by our Greed as humans to 1 up the next guy and make serious BANK. Not saying it's wrong. Just one view / opinion on things.

CPA company makes money, u make money. its not scamming its tricking.
and most blackhat leads are actually interested buyers, they just come from banned sources.

they wanna watch the movie dont they?

picking up apples from the stall and attempting to sell it to the vendor, how petty.

horny men get where they are because of desperation. its not my fault he wanted to buy me some stuff. (real women use men to buy stuff for them all the time)

over-exaggerated. but their statements arent lies. in theory, every famous guru make money product out there, if you followed through with what it says. you should be able to make money.
what the book doesnt tell you, is how to do what it asks better than anyone else. (so that you get the sales)
thats the X factor you have to bring to the table

its public info, i can just get them really really fast.

there is a difference between using shortcuts or tricking WILLING victims, and selling material that isnt your own / not paying a JV partner for his hard work.

Madinaz, I checked out your blog post. Man , sorry to hear that. But yeah , we do have to question peoples motives all the time. Us ourselves included, because if examine my self deep enough , more often then i wish I find that even the "good" things I do,I do for selfish motives. For an example, I helped someone to move another day, and as much as I want to say, its because he is my friend, truth is , some part of me did it for "I will look as such a awesome friend if i do it" motive.:(

P.S sorry for this sensitive mumbo jumbo guys :D Just being honest...:p

Had a good laugh at some of those. Made some good points as well.

... Though with CPA networks while you both make money. You:
    1. Jeopardize the CPA company reputation as well as cause bad faith against their business by consumers.
    2. Using methods with SSM and harvesting emails isn't exactly "permission based" ;)

There's a few other points I could battle on with but, I think we all get the point now so I'll leave things where they stand.

I do fully agree on the JV statement though.

@MADINAZ: Looked at your blog today as well. Had some good articles. :)
PS: Thanks for answering my question about why a certin member was banned I was curious about that.

    human nature is it not?

we do selfless things because it makes us feel good inside.

i mean, if it didnt... would people do the 'selfless' things they do?

I never said who it was about and have no idea why anyone was banned. My post here really was just to remind everyone that you never really know what kind of person hides behind a screen name. Just be careful before you give anything (money, software, do a jv etc...) to anybody. Make them earn your trust and don't just hand trust over because of a title or a few IM's

yeah, I totally agree. Yet I love helping out people and giving advice and care for friends even if it is inconvenient. And not because it always makes me feel good but because I know that they deserve it , or because I see a need and I know I could help. Perhaps just because I know it is the right thing to do.

Those are tricks you play on little kids to find the guilty one or make them confess due to sheer guilt.

Good to know they still work on adults alike.
