And if they do, what should I use for tags? My target keywords or what?
Sure it help at SEO and you can use main & other keyword at a time.
Helps quite a bit actually
it help for SEO, just use these 2 wp plugins and you're all set
1. Auto SEO Tags (Every time a visitor arrives from a search engine their query is added as a tag for the post they visit.)
2. Strictly Auto Tags (This plugin automatically detects tags to place against posts using existing tags as well as a simple formula that detects common tag formats such as Acronyms, names and countries. Whereas other smart tag plugins only detect a single occurance of a tag within a post this plugin will search for the most used tags within the content so that only the most relevant tags get added.)
Tags are something you shouldn't overlook and provided they match the content they will add value to your blog (Google loves blogs that are regularly updated so take the extra time to include tags relevant to your content).
That is why Google keep mentioning about most RELEVANT pages. And i believe tags help a lot.
Honestly how can anyone dignify this question with an answer, do some research buddy.
Its like saying do we need legs to walk.
Member since 2006 what have u been doing?
Read some ebooks on SEO.
They are obviously important. Not crucial, but important enough to spend 20-30 seconds typing them in
Appreciate the info!
You don't even have to type most of them in, just pick from a list of most used and add a few unique ones. Takes 10 seconds.
For example if I'm targeting "orange juice" KW with my post, should I just set that as a tag? Is it that simple?
Separate names with a comma.
