Do some affiliate programs actually want spammy sites?

Greetings. So check it out, after applying to an affiliate network, which shall go unnamed, and being rejected, yours truly politely asked the aff manager why my websites were found to be unacceptable. I was actually surprised that I would be denied for this reason because I actually put a bit of time and effort into all of my sites and try and keep them looking as legit as possible. So I get this response:

"We are ideally looking for websites having content such as pictures,
games, adult, videos, screensavers , free software's , etc. If you do
own a top level domain like this , please send me the URL and I will
    process your account forthwith."

So what I get from this is that they actually want to see a bunch of bullshit on your site like porn, screensavers, fuckin "zwinkys" and shit... am I correct? And if so, shit... I went and wasted too much time on web design. Never thought of myself as having particularly high standards, but this is ridiculous!

Basically, the affiliate network is looking for sites that they believe would successfully promote the offers that they have. Networks (like programs) run the gamut from Major merchant programs to insurance leads to acai berry drink offers to adult offers.

Pick a network that matches the content you've built.
