    Seasons Greetings!

Quite curious if any of you publish your sites right away after installing whatever CMS you use.

I usually keep my site maintenance mode, create a lot of posts, then publish it . But now, I'm starting to question this and would like to know if there is some effect on SEO if any.

Sometimes I think keeping your site publish and having post upped consistently is the way to go but when you create a new site, I would like to know how the pros do it!

    THank you and happy holidays!

Post them right away to allow the Search Engines to crawl and index it ASAP and start aging. Just have 1-3 500-word posts ready to push out every other day or so when you first launch

I almost always publish the sites right away, unless a client tells me not to.

The one client I have who wanted a maintenance page put up on their site is barely ranking for their own domain name. We've been working on the site for 2 years (it's a personal project done at his own pace). If we had just published the site sooner, we could've targeted some keywords on it and his site would've been receiving traffic by now.

If you publish a bunch right away, make sure you change the publish date to distribute the content better.

I just noticed from my website.

I have published like 4 posts and saved 6 drafts to spread in 3-7 days publishing. I have checked my blog's rss feeds of different formats and I found out that drafted posts can be seen via RSS. ;-) Check it yourself. ;-) You should have an answer by now whether to publish right away or save it as drafts.

I usually prep content before setting up the site. Like I am getting ready to drop a new site, so I am ordering around 24 articles(20K words), which I'll be scheduling out over the next month, on a consistent schedule.
I don't put up a Maintanence page, rather, I buy the site and leave it blank while waiting for content.

It is recommended to schedule your post on certain times that your website gets the peak of users/visitors.

immediately publish and keep updating. Why let posts sit idle when they could be doing some work for you like indexing, ageing (social sharing etc.)

Post right away. I think that if you have a few you can wait, but I would not do dozens at a time.
