Is it worth investing the time into a new project to promote a clickbank diet product?

the domain's keyword has 17,000,000 searches on google..

    are diet products profitable?

or should i keep my time with facebook + email marketing

As long as there is hamburgers, pizza, and other fatty foods then there will always be a market for "diet products"

Diet products are BIG business but it's also a very competitive field. There are new, "fad", diet products that pop into the market every few months.

As long as you're willing to keep up with the latest fad you could make a killing. Though, like I said, it's a very competitive field.

Just like No1here said, follow the fads!

I often have a hard time believing these things are profitable due to the fact I can't see how anyone could fall for this crap we writeup but then I see my girl friends sister buying a $49.95 bottle of juice to make her lose 7kgs in 7 days and I realize there is a lot of money to be made in it.

yes people are buying diet products more than ever before. since obesity rates keep climbing every year, more and more people are looking to lose weight. Unfortunately, for every 100 people who buy one of those diet guides, only 1 will actually follow through and stick to the plan, so the number of potential leads in that niche will do nothing but rise

I'm still killing it with diet products but with trial offers, not with clickbank. I'm not saying you can't profit with them. What I am saying is that before you launch any campaign you have to get into the mind of your prospect.

Let's pick a product through CB. "The Truth About Abs" is still the most popular ebook there. Can you profit with this product? Sure, but how many of your prospects are willing to sweat and work their butts off to lose weight?

It's much easier to promote quick fixes because that's what everybody is looking for. That's where trial products shine. Trial offers hype fast weight loss and the customer pays only the shipping for a free bottle depending on the offer. Ebooks promise weight loss through exercise and customer pays $40. No, most dieters are not going to lose weight with either product but the promise to lose weight is much more appealing when all you have to do is pop a pill. For me, trial offers have always converted better than ebooks.

Trial offers usually auto-ship and bill the customers credit card which has created a stir for trial offers especially after the fiasco with the Acai diet and Oprah and Dr. Oz. But never let a little controversy hold you back from making profits! Where there's smoke there's FIRE!

    Hope this helps!
