Do newly created sub-domains get authority from the main domain?

Would anyone be able to answer this for me? I'm just wondering if.. say I had a pizza shop called "SamsPizzadotcorn" and I went 100 page rank 7 website domain owners and got them to create a subdomain called SamsPizzaDotTheirDomainCorn, then threw up an article or something, maybe even a few pages with a link going back to my site. I know this is stupid sounding, but would it help a lot? Or would it only really be good if the main site was linking to the subdomain?

    dotcorn :)

i'll give it a guess, if the subdomain is linked from the main page, it will gain authority, but throwing links back at the same domain? this is just ping-pong buddy. you may use those subdomains to link to another site.

Haha yeah :) Silly new account restrictions. But so do you think if a PR 7 domain created a new sub-domain (without any links going to it) and then pointed it to my domain that it would help?

they gain some authority -- I only know from experience with using subdomain web 2.0's to rank... and they do work. (yoursite.wordpress.com, or blogspot, etc.)

without a link from the main domain? i doubt it.
It will have the same impact like every blogspot.com, wordpress.com etc.
