    Hello All

Since I live in a non English-speaking country and want to compete in local services such as dentists, lawyers, electricians, and second and my pages are in languages other than English.
Will I still be able to benefit from having web 2.0 sites written in English about my topic and link to my non-English language site?
In other words, google well even see that niche and topic ralateret and I will get page rank and link juice?

    Thanks.

Yes it will still help. It "may" not carry the same weight as the link from the same language in the same niche, but will still help.

Yes they do carry link juice and pr, but in my experience they carry less just a little bit.. I rank sites in spanish and many on my backlink are from english sites, my serp is great, so they do work.

They work, and you can get a lot of them however my company's main money site for getting new leads got hit by Penguin it seems. Our newly developed site for similar and broader terms is better optimized and still #1 for about 9 key terms, however Site 1 was #1 for the best keyword in our industry/local and got sent to mid-page 2 (which is a disaster since we are competing against other digital agencies who do SEO).

Both sites are done by different SEO teams, Site 1 by some of our PHP developers (volume over quality) and the second which ranks in more terms with less searches per month was done by the best SEO guy on our payroll.

I have a feeling that Site 1 took a hit whilst site 2 maintained strong for #1 on several terms (even though the On-Site SEO is virtually identical for layout etc) was that Site 1 has a majority of links from Eastern Europe (think Russia, Serbia etc). It's really cheap to get backlinks from there and it was really helpful on the past. Over all of our local targeted terms include our city name (think 'Dog Training Boston'), so I am presuming that international and non-English links take a hit particularly if you target a particular city or local search term.

We are probably going to assign our SEO genius to fix site 1, but it could take a while (Site 1 had it's eggs in that one search term basket, 99% of traffic is from the key 25k per month local search term; Site two is diverse because it's #1 in so many variations of it's targets)

Yes it's count but Google Doesn't Count Links They Do Not Trust.
