Do I VPN to my VPS and then SB? Or do I SB via VPN?

I admit I'm a little confused by the flow path of the VPN and proxy set ups.

If i have a proxy that I'm using to post with, do I need to use a VPN to connect with the proxy? I can't see using the proxy with a VPN to go out and post... or maybe I'm not seeing something.

I'm still doing things manually for the most part, but can someone help a noob out here, please?

VPN and proxies are similar services, if you are connected to a VPN, there is no reason to use proxies and vice versa.

If your VPS allows you to install your VPN, then you would connect to your VPS remotely without a VPN or proxy. Then on your VPS, setup your VPN service, connect and run ScrapeBox. Else, connect to your VPS remotely without a VPN or proxy. Then on your VPS, setup your proxies in ScrapeBox.

VPS -> VPN -> Proxy is going to be extremely slow.
VPN -> Proxy -> VPS is only going to secure your home PC, not your VPS connection!
VPS -> VPN/Proxy is what you're wanting to do

I'm mostly looking to obscure my IP from the sites I visit- would a VPN do that?
