Do I still get commission if item is only available in another website from Amazon?

I've been doing niche research and haven't found anything that I would enjoy writing about, so I went to check a niche of my liking and I noticed that the items aren't for sale specifically from Amazon.

I just searched on google for an example (site:amazon.com "site:blackhatworld.com "This item is only available on another website.") and took a random one..

1-800-Flowers - Another Year Rover By 1800Flowers (not aff)

If I were to promote this product on my website, would I still get commission even though it's being sold on another website?

Any product featured on amazon, regardless of whether a third party would fulfill your order, you will get your commissions.

I think the last cookie gets the commission.

User clicks on your click then clicks on your competitor's link then your competitor will receive the commission.

I'm not sure if things have changed though.

    I see, thanks. I guess I'll be creating two amazon websites(1 for a niche I like, 1 for a niche I already build a big following) :D

You didn't quite understand my question, but thank you for taking your time to reply either way, every reminder helps.

Actually this is incorrect. You might be getting this confused with products which are fulfilled by another company.

If, on the Amazon product page, the under the price it states: "Available to buy on XXXXXX (website address). This item is only available on another website." then you will NOT get a commission on any purchased products once they link to that other website.

I just spoke with Amazon Associates customer support about it.

I know this post was from late last year, but it think it was important to clarify.

    Cheers
