I am a newbie to all this and am looking for a way to get myself going. I have so many questions but I will post little by little.

I am looking to get into a CPA network. Do I need a website to be accepted? or can I have just a landing page? Also, is there a difference if the website is new and has no traffic?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

It will help a lot and many off the networks might require but you will get approved in some networks without one.
You could also promote via PPC or mailing etc so if you can prove that you can bring leads, a website might not be necessary.

So what the CPA networks look for is how we will be getting traffic? Is it a bad idea to mention some of the IM tools to them?

yes, they mainly want to know how you will be getting traffic to their offers. that is pretty much the most important thing because they need to know you are legitimate and are not going to scheme them with fake leads or "black hat" methods

what IM tools are you speaking of? if you are talking about xrumer and scrapebox etc. i dont see a need to tell them that you will be using these tools. they dont need to know that, and if they ask specific questions simply come up with answers that sound white hat :)

    i hope this helps man

A website would definitely help, but you don't need one. One of the benefits of having a website is that you will have a legitimate e-mail address. It just looks like you're more professional and serious when you use your own domain e-mail instead of the free ones like Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.

If you can't afford that yet, that's ok. Just try and follow up with the CPA network you're applying to. Affiliate Managers are people, and just like you & I, they want to make money also. Let him/her know that you'll be mainly driving traffic using paid traffic and in the future you plan on branching out to building web sites.

Thanks for all the info. I am going to look into creating a website. Now what I confuses me is what will go in this website? I am most likely going to be using free CPA offer with email submits. Can anyone give an example of a website they use when applying for CPA networks, this would help me the best. I am not going to copy it, I just need a visual to see what type of website is needed.

Hey man, When I wanted to join a few networks like peerfly and a few others, I just told the truth, I said I was new and wanted to learn new things and had experience with affiliate marketing and I got accepted always. I did mention how I was going to drive traffic, I said facebook, youtube etc. Hope this helps.

easiest is just get a wordpress blog. Many different themes available for wordpress to make your website look legit. Look at the member's download section on this forum and look for wordpress themes, they have high quality themes there.

you don't have to have a website but the whole point of it is to make you look like you're a serious publisher. The same with having your own email address that has your website name in it. If you can somehow make the cpa understand you know what you are doing and you're serious you can get accepted regardless, but i wouldn't recommend applying without a good website.

Dont apply to the big cpas yet, they usually have higher standards, like neverblue ask me proof of income from other cpas im with. You'll get rejected from some of your first cpa's, just think about the questions they asked you and reread the threads on this forum on gettin accepted by cpas and you'll learn what to say next time.

You def. can but just make sure you know the basics about those promotion methods in case they send follow-up questions your way.

What follow up questions can I expect? And what would be good answers to them?

will they ask me stuff like what kind of offline techniques do you use? would a good response be that I pass out flyers in a niche location depending on the cpa offer?

the easiest thing to do is to purchase a shared hosting plan (very very cheap, even 50$/year) and install a wordpress site.
select a pretty theme, add good content and you are good 2 go.

CPA networks like dollarade.com or leadbolt will accept you pretty easy. For example tell them that you are promoting a tv series website and you get traffic from YouTube and Facebook.

Also tell them that the network was recommended by a good friend that is using the "network" for quite some time.

You should get accepted for sure. After that, the hard part comes, to get the traffic and make the money :)

I got accepted with no website.
The way I was able to do it though was to let them know I will build sites around offers and use SEO PPC and article marketing to promote offers.
For this reason I think I was accepted without any phone calls either.

    All the best.
