Do I need any text at all to insert a backlink in a guest post, or won't it ********? when buying links from here or another website, everyone first writes an article to post a link, without an article it will not be included in the index, or will it not be dofollowed?
Or will it not be indexed if I don't make 500 characters? let's say a medium(dot)com or any others
Why write a whole article, you can just leave a link with an anchor?

Contextual links are of the highest value and impact.

You can do a contextual image link for example and use empty alt tag. Such link would have [EMPTY] anchor text.

You will be losing many opportunities for relevancy though. That is the whole point of lot of surrounding text and other on-page aspects when it comes to links. Text is the easiest for engines to understand.

And if the link is surrounded by text + - 20 words, it will not be indexed and will not dofollo
or the number of words does not affect

Link can still index even with that little text around it. More text and relevancy makes it easier though.

d0follow or nofollow are <a> tag attributes. It's either set or not. You only need to set nofollow manual, by default link is always d0follow.

EXAMPLE:

Nofollow:
Code:
<a href="https://www.blackhatworld.com" rel="nofollow">Black Hat World</a>

D0follow:
Code:
<a href="https://www.blackhatworld.com">Black Hat World</a>

Not all backlinks are same. The contextual backlinks in high authority sites pass more authority and trust to your site.

Thank you very much, you are the best! :) :) :) :)

Google loves the Contextual links.
and if the article word count is not good enough then Google will take it as thin content.
