Do I need a VPS for scrapebox?

    Looking to purchase scrapebox but I was wondering if a VPS is needed? Can i just run the software off my computer?

    You can run it on your own Windows computer just remember to use proxies to avoid your IP being banned by Akismet when spamming. I use public proxies for scraping and private for posting.

    VPS can be handy though if you want to run SB 24*7 as you don't need to leave your computer on. You'll still need proxies though.

    i built a spare pc (cost about $200)
    and run scrapebox via remote desktop

    You don't need one, but if you have the money you can seriously crank up your productivity since the connection speeds are insanely faster.

    With a VPS you get a faster connection which means more threads for scraping. You also can have it running 24/7/365.

    if you have a fast internet connection from where you are located you can install virtualbox or vmware on your computer.. you can run it on there.

    It depends on your internet connection speed. If you got a high speed one, then there is no point in getting a VPS, otherwise go for a VPS.
