A small collection of luxury products? Can I not just sell as a sole proprietor? I plan on establishing close knit relationships with my clients and have people order through contact forms rather than a standard ecommerce set up with items from $500<

Do you plan on selling for a long duration and making good money? If not, I do not recommend a LLC.

I would agree. Sell under a DBA until you do get to the point where you're making big $$ then incorporate or LLC, or whatever makes sense for your particular situation.
