    Hey guys,

So im wondering if I need to drop a link in my blog posts, so that my homepage can get the link juice from that blog post.

Logically however, I figured all blog posts published have an OBL to the homepage due to the websites navigational header that includes "Home" and links to your homepage from every page on your site.

Does that tackle the interlinking aspect of linking to your homepage?

Of course it does, all of your site-side links (including menu items, footer) get passed page rank. The only thing that it might not be effective with is contextual content because there is a diluted pagerank flow to the homepage, which is fine The homepage should always have the highest pagerank/authority on your website. This is mainly due to google actually giving a homepage more weight than internal pages based on URL structure.

From personal experience, the pages with the most *organic* weight on a website is as follows:

    • Home Page URL
    • Alternative Home Page URL if applicable (ie: de.website.com OR website.com/de for German homepage of the website)
    • Authority Links on your Website (Major Hierarchy of Website structure, if applicable. If you Google your own website name, they'll be seen)
    • Contact Us/Terms and Conditions pages
    • About Page (if not part of the primary hierarchy)

Of course, I haven't tested this as a Case Study basis but this seems to be pretty accurate for a lot of websites. Of course, using backlinking, strongly internal and contextual linking would affect the overall authority of your websites pages, Google does indeed identifies specific pages as part of a schema and give them additional weight (not for a particularly keyword, give more authority in general).

So I do not believe linking to the Home Page will make much of a difference, if at all. However, linking to a target money page *from* the Home Page would have a positive benefit.
