Do google actually ban copy paste?

There are over 400 websites that copy paste each other's news. For example this one.

But question is, do they actually get banned for that? Maybe if copyright violation is involved, these website/s maybe sued, but that is not really a issue of Google.

These sites are getting some of their news through Reuters, you will also find duplication with Associated Press. However they will have a lot of unique content themselves so to answer your questions -

1. It is not copyright violation, they pay to print this syndicated news.

2. They don't get banned because the syndicated news will not make up the majority of the content on most of these sites.

Never knew about the 1st point.
 
All these are news sites and they get away with it. Again double standards of Google.
