Anyways:
I actually bought 5 .gay domains like
<politician>.gay
after seeing donaldtrump.gay on sale for a few grands and joebiden.gay is not even for sale, someone is holding this one.
Will they fetch me a few grands in the future, who knows, but I am taking my chances.
There's something about entrepreneurs and domains....
Do you know who owns x.com and what does x.com returns?
Find about that....

Anything but GoDaddy, please, at least go to Namecheap, they'll give you free privacy protection for your domain.

Here is an interesting domain from 2020, that still doesn't point to any web server. Could have been disqualified or purchased and parked forever to prevent others from buying it.

.gay domain is mainly for lgbt community. So if a site is about lgbt stuff, I think google algo will rank that site higher and give preference to that site. With a 20 20 hignsight .gay domain will convert better( like if you are selling) as long as it's about lgbt stuff.
Don't use .gay domain for any anti lgbt stuff, you will loose the domain, domain registrars have clearly mentioned it, no matter what you think.

So, in your opinion, which I don't think fully makes sense, then you should buy a .LGBT instead.
 
gay.gay or french.gay [both are pretty much the same,so it's like using synonyms]

zuckerberg.gay
facebook.gay [a facebook for gay people,could be big..] or tinder.gay

trump.gay / biden.gay [these might be taken,if not,hurry up !]

If it's community-like site, for example, Facebook, .lgbt domain make more sense, if it's a website that speaks to or caters lgbt people then .gay domain makes more sense.
This is all in 2020 hindsight though. We are yet to know how these extensions pan out especially compared to .com .net and .org .
I am keeping my fingers crossed and hope to make a few grand from 5 .gay domains I bought.
