Do-Follow testing

I never really gave a sh*t about pr, but now I'm currently operating a fully white hat site and I'm focusing on SEO and Backlinks to get a high ranking in google.

I understand these 2 are do-follow right?

I'm also submitting lots of articles to goarticles, (Aiming for 1000)

With a 1000 backlinks from do-follow sites(over pr 5) How much pagerank do you think I'll gain?

Well, the problem is that multiple links from just one site aren't going to help you.

So for your FIRST comment at Digital point, you gain some credibilty with Google. But even if you make multiple comments, those extra backlinks (coming from the same site) aren't weighted the same in their algorhythm.

You have the right idea, though, just start spreading out your efforts onto multiple sites. Look for high page rank forums and high page rank do follow blogs and start getting backlinks from lots of them. I find these days that focusing on just about 10 high page rank forums and/or sites (page rank of 5 - 9) carries a huge amount of weight in Google's eyes. You don't have to do multiple comments on the forums - maybe just three posts to establish yourself as a member,then add your sig file, and then you dont' have to go back there unless you want to market directly to that community.

The high page rank forums don't necessarily have to be related to your niche, either. I'm getting incredible leverage these days from commenting on some high ranking software type forums (think Adobe, Mac users, security software users) even if my site is about, like, ferret bonnets or something. You should try to get SOME links though from sites directly related to your topic - and best yet, from an actual blog post where they talk about your topic. Comment on that. You can do a site search for your keyword to hone in on specific pages related to your topic to place a comment on. That saves time.

So instead of getting 1000 backlinks from just two places you really have to mix up your backlink sources to get credibiliy in the great G's eyes.

Other good ranking article directories with link power these days include articlealley, ezinearticles, searchwarp, and a few others - just do a search for your keyword in Google, see if any articles from articles directories come up, and try to submit articles to those sites.

I would suggest you go off and do some directory submissions, download free blog commenter and get some ******** blog comments. Then get a copy of bookmarking demon to get some social bookmarking links.

After that I would start over and leave more backlinks on more directories, more blogs and more social bookmarking sites. If you have lots of time you can do some article submissions and use social media sites like squidoo et al.

On a different note though if you are going completely white hat you shouldn't be doing any of this as gaining backlinks for the act of increasing your SERPs is not white hat

make sure your onsite optimization at least covers the basics, you will benefit a lot more from it...

PR really is the last thing you should work on in terms of generating traffic or good SERPs

What I'm trying to do here is get on the first page of google for a certain keyword.
I have some sites that are ranked with the top 10 on google but for non-competitive keywords.
The keywords I'm targeting now are quite competive and if I get on the first page, I estimate that I'll get at least 300 uniques a day ( just from google).

The website that is on top of google for this keyword is pretty big. It has over a 200,000 backlinks. I'm not exactly competing against it I'm just trying to get on the first page. However I'm still looking forward to exceed it because it will get me a sh*tload of traffic.

The Advantage that I have over this site is that I have my keyword as the domain name. I also included the keyword in the title, description, <h1></h1> and in the content.

Do you think this will help? Do you think that by having your keyword as a domain name will help a lot to get you to the top???

That would be very good...but this is hard. Just coz site is PR5 + where your link is on forums and blogs etc is usually PR0. If you can get 1000 PR5+ backlinks, thats some serious good work you have done.
