Do backlinks really work?

quality backlinks work definitely, but spammy backlinks of course not anymore like in the past, google is filtering them out...

i do not think that backlinks are worthless but one should not rush to buy them in bulk. it is better to choose a couple of relevant links rather than hundreds of links which are not suitablle for ur website. i would also recommend not buying links in case the seller promisses an unbelievable amount of links within a day or two.

Indeed, price is not a good quality indicator when consdering backlinks. I would prefer a site that is relevant to my business and has traffiic over a paid link.

It is indeed true that Google actively discourages the purchase of backlinks, with its algorithms continually improving at disregarding large scale waves of low quality spam links.
 
Paying for backlinks doesn’t automatically mean Google will punish the site. The bigger issue is link quality, relevance, and whether the placement looks natural.

I'm still learning about backlinks, but from what I've seen, relevance and the quality of the website seem more important than simply paying more. Would be interesting to hear from people who have tested both.

Backlinks were always the most important factor for Google to rank your website and will always be. The thing is 99% of the backlinks you purchase here in BHW or other places like Fiverr are trash links from sites that don't even get indexed by Google and have 0 traffic. You don't need these spam links

Sadly these days link sellers in BHW ask reviewers to post their reviews in 24 hours and in this time it is impossible to evaluate the backlink quality so reviewers are forced to review the DA/DR metrics and content at best. I would recommend you check the services in the marketplace and find a real seller where buyers have shared screenshots of improved rankings after purchasing the links. This is the best way to find a service worth to buy

You should buy backlinks only from highly authoritative, relevant sites to yours. Expensive ones usually are higher quality but you do have to check your backlinks with tools like Ahrefs/Semrush etc.
 
backlink still work but not judge them price alone.some time cheaper links from relevant site work better than expensive placements.
