    Anyone know?

I'm wondering about this for reputation SEO if we put a branded product on Amazon that isn't in stock.

    Thanks

Interesting idea- I think it would be helpful but how long until amazon prunes it?

I see e-com products that have had no stock for months ranking. However, I'm not sure if they would be ranking if they never had stock in the first place. I'd imagine it would work well if the keyword isn't competitive, so for reputation SEO I think you'd be fine.

Yes they do, as I have an old affiliate site and one of the products is discontinued, but the keywords still ranking for it.

Products that are discontinued or that run out of stock do appear to still rank.
