when i started writing articles i would do my keyword and sometimes another related link at the bottom

then i would think well one should be enough. now im going over all my posts and making sure i have the best keywords and the best links

sometimes there will be 2 different keywords that are really big and i want to use both

am i making that much more of a difference in how google sees my articles using 2 keywords in every post rather than 1

it looks just saying this that yea more is better but i just have to hear whether or not it is

using the 2 different big keywords i would have to say yes but if theres only like 1 big keyword for my article, does having 2 links really matter more than just one would

    Yes, it will matter more.
But if you repeat the same one, it won't matter much.

    Hi Mate,

Having links is depend on the length of the article. If your article has around 500 words means you can have two links in articles will look natural. But you should not use more two links.

    Hi, @tunescool!

The concern is not much in the number of internal links but on the anchor texts used. Do not link to the exact same anchor text more than once.

Also, don't just focus on the SEO benefits of interlinking articles. Does your anchor text make sense to your readers? I mean, which among these two anchor texts makes more sense? Is it the one-word "survey" or this descriptive "survey that proves this claim"?

This is one of the things I share with my clients, who use my content writing services, when we draft their articles on their WordPress-based website for free.
