    What?
I saw DMOZ listed domain for sale closely related to my niche and more importantly in my area, and since it was $11 I bought it. Would 301 redirect to my new site be of any use? Say it's listed on DMOZ as general electronics business and my new site offers only laptops. I guess it would make sense, since it's the same language and all, only focused on micro part of big niche. Any experiences?

    Thanks

I don't think that a 301 redirect would be any better with a DMOZ listed website than one without. Maybe if you used it as the money site, and your other domain as a 301 redirect.

You don't think it would pass any "authority" it has to new site? Actually, I'd like to know can it hurt in any way? Both are different IPs, hosts, registars..

I can't use it as money site, clearly differs from my service.
