Just wondering what the etiquette is on DMing new followers with generic messages (via Mass Planner). Like.. kind of wondering how people will think about it. Trying to build up a semi-whitehat Twitter account, but trying to get more sales/engagement or whatever, and wondering if DMing will help. But I also don't want people to think I'm all spammy now because I'm DMing them for following.

That might depend on your niche. and whether your building Follow 4 Follow. Also is you are representing as a company or a person for your sales. I think if your a person then people expect to get hit with the spam DM. If your representing as a high authority then i wouldn't DM unless your having a give away. Does Apple ever ask people to re-tweet there newest iPhone?

Ok I gotcha. Yeah, it's just for my own little dinky website, and I just want to get more traffic to it with social media hopefully. So yeah maybe I'll try some stuff out. I guess I can always just test it for awhile and stop if it's not helping.

Interesting! Thanks a lot. I will check those out. I guess I could just send them a message thanking them and a friendly message advising them about what I do (my website). Going to read those links now for sure :D Thanks again!
