One of my clients had his homepage removed after falling prey to a DMCA. A few of his other pages are still ranking, albeit lower, for his keywords. (It seems their designer used a copyrighted image.) Anyway, using the search:xyz . com function, there are no results for their homepage. However, if you type in the homepage url, it still appears. And at the bottom of the search page, it says: In response to a complaint we received under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, we have removed 1 result(s) from this page. If you wish, you may read the DMCA complaint that caused the removal(s) at ChillingEffects.org. My question is, what, if anything, can be done to retrieve his homepage? Does he need to just start a new site? Is doing further seo a waste of time? I am really not sure what to tell him, or even how I could help him out, so if anyone has experience with this, please share. This is a good warning to bhw members to check their own sites so that this kind of thing doesn't happen to them.
