My website is an anime website to watch episodes on for a certain series.

I discovered last night that my website needs more texual content for my website to improve it's SEO in google, however this morning I recieved a DMCA complaint showing that 99% of my links have been removed from google search, not too sure why this happened but basically the only thing left in google search for my website is my homepage. I was told that if I add episode descriptions to each episode that this could improve my website for SEO, and I'm willing to do it but now that each individual episode has been removed from google search is there any point? will it still help me in any way?

    Let me know ;)

I think your backlinks are not relevant to your niche and you have not updated the content for a while.
Maybe your content not having the proper description about the episodes.
Use backlink checking tools to check the quality.
Analyze using Webmaster tools to get good position.

Yeah I just wanted to know if adding episode descriptions for example will actually help me now that google has removed 1200 of my links due to DMCA, I checked on Google webmaster tools

No, in my webmaster tools my episode URLs were deindexed and removed from google's search engine due to a DMCA complaint, it's not bad backlinks removing it

I see 2 different problems that are not related:

    1. Your on page SEO stuff - Sure, better content helps with rankings, but this is not the problem here.

    2. Being Deindexed because of DMCA - I assume these links were removed because of copyright claims to Google and it has nothing to do with your on page SEO, just piracy.

Solution to both: Re-host on a new domain with improved content. It might rank better and stick around longer (or at least until the next DMCA complaint).

Their isn't a way around the DMCA complaint. You should never have your illegal movie niche site indexable by Google. I know very well, this is my niche and has been for the last 6 years.

What you need to do is create a satellite site with niche related "written" content that google can index, like trailers or something. Link each post to categories or posts from your illegal anime money site. This is the only way it can be done..

Avoid using USA based hosting companies and domain extensions as well.
