This business is very important to me and I do want it to run smoothly, but I need a specific issue to look at to see why and what happened. How about instead of destroying a host, you help us get better by giving a constructive feedback, rather than a ton of shite on our head?     As I stated it takes a lot for me to leave a review. My anger directed towards sharkservers is not one incident. But months upon months of incidents and complete ignorance.

    As for destroying a host. I'm not too fussed, in the same way that you wasn't fussed in the slightest about my business.

    You want serious advice, I'd rebrand.

    I have absolutely no intentions on outing my websites and personal details to such a company.

    I am using a VPS from SharkServers, -THE VPS CLOUD 1- couple months now,
    it runs smoothly, with no downtime and AMAZING speed...for both upload and download... I use on daily basis for downloading files and uploading them to my drives... testing different software...and managing some of my accounts


    highly recommended if you want a good VPS with a decent speed at a good price

    I'v been with them since the 6th of September, moved some sites to their server, a few days ago my account was reset, and everything was wiped out, reached to them over support tickets after a day not a single response, all i'm getting is a bill for the next month, i guess i'm going to move somwhere else, not very serious especially when it comes to support.

    If I remember right, this was explained to you in the ticket. You had a vulnerable script or plugin somewhere which allowed unauthorized access to your account. This has nothing to do with our service, and we do not provide management for hosting accounts by default. I'm sorry to hear that you lost your data, but you need to be more careful to keep everything up to date.

    Good to see you are still up and runnng and you responding says a lot. Shows, at the very least, you are making an effort. I did see that you post you've gone through new ownership? or management? It can't be easy to come into a situation where people have had problems with former ownership. Like starting a game down 5-0. People are way more likely to forgive when they see you putting the effort in and being held accountable... by choice and not because you are backed into a corner. Everyone deserves a second chance but it's too bad some piss that away by trying too hard to make up for those mistakes and make promises they can't keep. Ending up in the same situation. Fool me once they say...twice well... You'd might as well be down 40-0 in the first inning bc it's near impossible to come back from that. ESPECIALLY when it's people's money involved. Back to my question sorry. Why not rebrand completly after the new ownership? New name ...new start ....no? Thanks in advance and I hope things continue to get better for your company. There is a very high demand for what you offer. I help a lot of first time webmasters get pointed in the right direction. There is a SM group of about 2000 that I would love to recommend more hosts too. For now I'm back up on the femce waiting to see if you can continue to come back from being down 5-0. (it's 5-3) LOL.     Rebranding would be an easy way to start this over, but it gives a lot more satisfaction if you can take something half-broken and restore it to it's former glory. Also, as I said before, we have more happy customers than disappointed ones - the problem is that the happy ones are usually the quiet ones. They just love the service and they keep everything to themselves. I have mentioned this over and over again that most of the unhappy customers don't really grasp the concept of 'unmanaged hosting' - we already try to put this where possible, and explain to everyone that unmanaged means that we will not be installing scripts for you, we will not optimize the server software or set up caching, etc. Many people don't get that, and when their tickets go unanswered for a while, they go to the forums and tell, as loud as they can, how bad we are... Just because we didn't help with something that we're not even supposed to help with.

    I need to point out that each and every ticket requires staff to respond to it when they could be doing something more important. All tickets are answered eventually. It may take a while, and the tickets are prioritized depending on the nature of the problem. If a service is down, we'll be the first ones to know and would be working on resolving any issues before you even notice that you can't access your site, VPS, etc - we have monitoring system in place for that, and we do know. If something goes out at night, we have alerts on the phone at a volume that will wake up me, my staff and everyone at the nearest cemetery - we do care, we do act (when it's necessary). I have had so many arguments with my wife due to trips to the datacenter in the middle of the night to fix things that sometimes I really wish I could stay at home and sleep. Then again, I do have responsibility for the service we provide, so I go anyway. When I return, I get a lot of nagging. Still, job done, so please never, ever say that we don't care about what happens. We do - it's just some things are not included in the service we provide, so please don't get offended if we say no.

    I had problems with my account about two months ago. One of my sites were under an DDOS attack. I contacted the support and they were just telling me I used all the capacity of my account and referring to a new and more expensive hosting, without saying any word of an DDOS attack. Its the opposite, you guys said its natural. Here is what you support wrote:

    "Well, your sites have grown over time, so it either has to be multiple shared hosting accounts or a single VPS. Your resource usage shows that you constantly have too many visitors on the sites at the same time, and your memory usage is nearing 1GB, which is your plan limit. Unfortunately, we can't allow any account on shared hosting to go over these limits as that would impact all other accounts on the server, so the best bet would be a VPS. We can refund the unused time on your shared hosting account and use that refund to set up the VPS for you."

    or

    "Please see URL this basically means that your sites get too many users at the same time. This is limited on shared hosting. You might want to split the domains with the highest traffic among several hosting plans, or consider a VPS instead."

    My usage was on 3-10% for months and suddenly it goes up to 100% and you guys call it "grown over time" and next you come up with a VPS. Not really nice to get pranked like this. With a little research I found out about the DDOS attack by myself. Just saying...all my sites were down! I also lost a 4 figures amount of money. Finally I had to make the decision to completely delete the attacked domain/website from your hosting. When I asked them what to do they told me its not their responsibility! No shit.

    But I don't want to leave only bad things. The websites were down only sometimes, but mostly they were running pretty fast.

    The staff only tells you what they see. If the monitoring says you're using all available entry processes for your plan, then that's what it is. Either you have too many people on the site at the same time, or your script is not closing connections properly, meaning that visitors that are no longer on the site are still counted as being online.

    You quoted me so I'd like to be clear as well. My point was the oppsite. To me, it seemed like you "do" care. Quite a lot actually. Positive Also the (obviously bad) baseball analogy, "starting out down 5-0 and it now being 5-3" was meant to show that you are making a comeback. Positive I think it's great when anyone beats the odds and it didn't look good for a while in this place at least. I read your reaction to the criticism and it seemed it effected you personally. That's someone I want to work with. I don't want to be just a number like I was with HG. Moar Positives

    The neg statement about being down 40-0 is pretty much just fact. If history repeats itself it would be near impossible to come back from that.

    P.S. You may have to remind wifey that those trips to the datacenter go hand in hand with deposits in your bank account. Lol. Just saying. I may not have the hosting experience most do here but I def have a bit of experience there. Seeing I have five ex-wives and all. LOL. Ciao for now man.

    been waiting for over 14 hours for an 12$ VPS to be set up as it states on the site that setup is instant. I have created tickets with no responses and the site says 24/7 tech support and it's been this long. i feel bad leaving a bad review seeing as that is mostly all i see on here. i thought that maybe if for once i gave a site a chance that seemed like they were at least trying, that maybe 14 hours later i would come back here and leave an awesome response but that is not the case, instead i am here 14 hours later waiting for my instant service. i understand that you guys are an independent business but sheeesh at least change the support hours to when someone will ACTUALLY respond. Things i see so far? Horrible support and me losing 24$ because the first time i made an account and purchased a server, i tried to sign in right after buying it and it said the email didn't exist on their site. so i said "Ok 12$ isn't so bad to wait on so i'll just make a new account and buy another server and then when staff gets on i can just contact them and either get my $ back or get the server moved to this account" but no that was not the case. if i can just get someone to help me out on the site that would be awesome. and if service is actually good i will definitely come back here and write a good review. I trusted this host and now I'm really paying for it.
