that's insane.. I saw this company providing hardware + software for creating your own mobile ISP proxies.. they said you'll save money etc: https://proxidize.com/special-offers . Their offering 20 dongles (20 ISP) + 1 year license software for 2000$.. so I need to invest 20.000$ in order to get 200 proxies.. that sounds a bit too crazy for me. I can buy 200 mobile ISP off a provider for 440$ monthly.. that will cost me 5280$ yearly. How is it possible that the provider can offer me 200 proxies for that relatively low cost?

Yes you will need 200 proxies + 200 simcards with 4G data on it. + you need a pc to install 3proxy or squid on it ++ you need a powered usb hub!.
Buy dongles from Alixpress they like $14 each :p + you guys thinking to big in 1 time.. start with 20 earn some money get 20 more and keep going.

if you go to buy 200 in 1 time and fail gonna be a pain in the a*s :p:p

hello. I am in USA and there are mobile provider offering unlimitted data for prepaid like 25 per month (hello mobile)

Is it feasible to make proxy network from these ?

I want to get dongles and run on older laptop perhaps with the proxy scritp for purposes of a stream bot farm.

the proxidize rotate ip thing is that a big deal? is that something that we can do with this script?

I am very new to this and trying to understand the thread. thank you everyone for your patience and thank you @SocialMediaNetwork for helping everyone with this

I did enough of research and can't find 4G proxy with unlimited bandwidth under 60-80$/month. If you need just one thread - probably it's not worth effort, but if one needs more than 4-5 threads then it adds up pretty quickly and it's no where close to 'cheap money' if you need 10+ threads. Now Im running 25 threads with my DIY setup and it costs me around 350$/month, for using any provider here - it would be at least 1000$.
i am trying to do this specific thing. are you in USA? which provider you using for data plan?

Thank you for your article.
Now, I have not tried because there is no money to buy equipment.
Hopefully your suggestions still work after I've purchased all the devices.

What type of Raspberry Pi will work for this, and how many GB (1, 4, 8?)

Hi all,

For this setup to work do I need to have working sim cards that have data on them? I.e. do I need to pay each sim card provider for 4G Data every month in order for this to work?

Thanks

This post is gold, thanks for sharing!

Could it be improved so every SIM card resets periodically? (turn on and turn off) so the IP address would change (renew proxies)

Add a file called rebind_usb to your /usr/local/bin directory with the following contents:

Code:
#!/bin/sh

echo "1-1.$1" > /sys/bus/usb/drivers/usb/unbind
echo "1-1.$1" > /sys/bus/usb/drivers/usb/bind

To power cycle a modem manually, start the script and pass in the usb port number (1-4) that your modem is attached to:

Code:
rebind_usb 2

If you want it to power cycle automatically, create a CRON job that calls your script:

Code:
*/5 * * * * rebind_usb 2 > /dev/null >2&1
