I did not tested this feature, but you can easy test it by yourself.
Change your browser's user agent to google bot and visit your site with Bot fight mode enabled.

Or use https://httpstatus.io/ - select User Agent - Googlebot.

go in the rules and disable the under attack mode for known bot (which include google) this way bot can access fine while all the others will get the bot fight mode

No point in enabling this until you are on an enterprise plan. It will going to block all major bots and there is no way to whitelist IPs, User agents on free or lower-paid plans.

In my case, It blocked the Flipboard, not worth it.

Nope, you can't, Only if you are on the Enterprise plan. I have talked with the Cloudflare support team and they said the same.

Not true. Free plan has 3 firewall rules included. You can block/whitelist user agents, ASN, countries, and more. And known bots is indeed an option

I have faced this so I know about it. This is the response I received from Cloudflare when I talked about it.

Known Bots is an option starting from the pro plan but that too won't be that much helpful.

It will allow Google and other known bots in the free plan. You might have blocked google by some other setting and not this one. Or maybe there is a conflict between different settings.

User agent is not enough to identify a googlebot. It's part of it, but it's simply not enough.

Testing by just changing user agent will probably give false positives.

Yeah, exactly. Otherwise every scraping bot could just simply use a google bot UA (I actually do quiet often =D ).
A better way to test is the mobile friendly tool from google:

Since there is actually a google bot going on the page and giving you the rendered HTML...
A great way to uncloak most sites as well ;)
